Remember the Vegan Marshmallow Kit we told you about yesterday? Well, we whipped a batch up last night in the Cosmo's Test Kitchen (all in the name of research!).
The result? A huge pile of about 60 big, beautiful marshies just begging to be roasted, melted and smored. Is smored a word?
We found this kit quite easy to use. It did take several pans and a mixer, but it was definitely a fun and rewarding experience. Want to make your own? Go for it!

Have you ever wanted to make your own vegan marshmallows, but didn't know the right combination of agar, vegan gelatin, and other ingredients? Well thanks to the lovely Alice from Angel Foods in New Zealand, you can make your own big batch of marshies right in your own kitchen using this special kit.
Each kit contains the exact amount of gelling agent as well as specific and easy to follow instructions. You will need to have a few common ingredients on hand in addition to the kit, though. So check your pantry for cornstarch, syrup, sugar and vanilla extract. Then get to candy making!

Our friend Christy is up to her neck in cats, because strays flock to her and she has a soft, kitten-shaped heart.

Christy has recently rescued two more kitten strays, and is looking to place them in a loving home. There is one boy and one girl, both adorable gray tabbies. They have both been spayed/neutered and have had their first shots. A $50 fee will be applied toward vet expenses, and a vet reference is required. Want a sweet kitty to share your life with? We also want to share a local event for you ATL folks. The Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition is having a benefit concert and silent auction at WonderRoot on Friday August 1st @ 8:00PM.
