Lunch Kits, New Stuff and Another Bake Off Reminder
Happy Sunday, ya'll! Our friend Becky from Glue & Glitter dropped off some more hand made lunch kits, and they are as adorable as ever. See the current selection here.
Also in the new products section, we now have a higher potency vegan Vitamin D. Deva offers a Vitamin D2 in a 800 IU tablet, for those of you dealing with lack of sunshine this winter.
Oh yeah! And be sure to add a free condom to your next order, if you're into that kinda thing. You like free samples and sex, right?
And, the seasonal Gingerbread Donut Holes are back!
So, have you Atlanta bakers entered the Bake Off yet? My educated guess says no. But you should! Please? It will be a lot of fun, we promise! And it's for a good cause. Only five days left to enter! There's a trophy and everything!

Atlanta Protest for Fur Free Friday
This just in from GARP-
Please join us this Friday for Fur Free Friday and be a voice for the voiceless victims. They are counting on YOU. Over 2 million CATS & DOGS are killed each year for fur products. Yes, cats and dogs!!!
Why: Dogs and cats in China are bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death and strangled with wire nooses so that their fur can be turned into trim and trinkets. This fur is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species and is exported to the United States to be sold to unsuspecting customers in retail stores.
When: Friday, November 28, 2008. 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Lenox Mall, 3393 Peachtree Road (at Lenox Road). Atlanta, GA 30326
We will be on Peachtree just south of Lenox.
We will have signs. We just need you.

2nd Annual Vegan Holiday Bake-Off!
Hey Atlanta- So you think you've got some mad baking skills? (skillz?) Well, let's find out! Last year's vegan bake-off was such a success that we have decided to do it again. Mark your calenders for Sunday, December 7th @ 2:00. It's free to enter, and the three winners will receive some great prizes! Please click here for the entry form and rules.
Of course all are welcome to this event, even if you don't enter the contest. Somebody's gotta eat the baked goods, yes? And be prepared to do some holiday shopping while you're here, because we are going to be donating a portion of the proceeds from this event to Forgotten Animals Rescue. Forgotten Animals Rescue is a local non-profit that rescues animals from death row at the local kill shelters, and helps find them permanent, loving homes.
Will you take home the coveted whisk trophy?

Atlanta: Gettin' more vegan-friendly everyday!
We just got in some copies of a new soulfood cookbook written by local Atlantan, the lovely Afya Ibomu. The Vegan Soulfood Guide to the Galaxy also comes with a DVD on how to prepare tofu in a variety of ways. This book looks great, ya'll!
Also, we have some good news for vegan ice cream lovers in Atlanta. The popular ice cream parlor Jake's now has a delicious new line of vegan ice cream called Nicecream. Nicecream is a soy-free vegan ice cream that is made with coconut cream. We had the pleasure of trying Nicecream ourselves, and we gotta say that it's sooo goooood. See how many o's I just used in that description? That's serious! Be sure to stop by one of the Jake's locations and treat yourself to a scoop or two and be sure and tell them how much you appreciate the vegan options!

New Stuff!
It's starting to look all holiday-like up in here. We love stuffing on Thanksgiving, just not stuffed into some poor, dead bird. So use this stuffing as a side dish and leave the birdies be.
Something else we love on Thanksgiving is a big pile of mashed potatoes. Too lazy to mash your own? We've got you covered! Notice that one variety actually has Road's End Cheddar Chreese in it. What a fine idea.
We know how you guys love your novelty soymilks, so never fear. Chocolate Peppermint and Holly Nog are back!
