Hey everyone, we've got some news you might need before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we are all sold out of the Celebrations Roasts (both sizes), the Stuffed Hazelnut Cranberry Roast En Croute, and the Match Holiday Roasts are going fast. However, we do still have some Tofurkys left, and they are priced below retail! We will be restocking most of the holiday roasts before the December holidays, so no worries there. We still have plenty of gravy, more gravy, and lots of other holiday essentials.

New vegan goodies keep showing up at our door, and there's more to come over the next few weeks! Here's all the new we have for you this week:

Chocolates galore! Brand new Chocolate Dream Chocolate Bars from Imagine foods. The same company that makes Rice Dream, Soy Dream, et al. now have these scrumptious chocolate bars. Dream Bars are gluten-free, and are one of the few chocolates in the world that are made on a completely dairy-free manufacturing line.

Sjaak's Winter Wonderfuls and Chocolate Raspberry Bites are back in stock for the holidays! Organic, vegan, fair trade, and delicious.

Limited edition holiday drinks are here, so let the excitement begin. This year we have Chocolate Peppermint Stick Soy Beverage and Rice Dream Rice Nog to offer you. You'll have to spike them yourself, though.

You know how much we love vegan books, right? Well, we have two new titles for you. Sweet Utopia: Simply Stunning Vegan Desserts by Sharon Valencik is a gorgeous new dessert cookbook with over 150 full color photos. The Simple Little Vegan Dog Book by Michelle Rivera is a great resource for those of you who want to cook vegan food for your pooch. There's a recipe for Snickerpoodles in there! How cute is that?

Hey there, Atlanta folks! The Vegetarian Society of Georgia is hosting a Humane Thanksgiving Potluck this Saturday, November 21st from 5-7 PM. Here are the details:

This potluck is completely vegan. Please bring a vegan entree, side dish, salad or dessert to serve 8-10 people, plus a serving utensil. Beverages will be provided (no alcohol permitted). $8 per adult, $5 per child, payable at the door. They are also collecting canned fruits and vegetables for a local food pantry. Georgia Animal Rights and Protection has a few AR events coming up, so if you are interested in becoming involved in local animal rights activities, now is the time!
Here's information about a leafleting opportunity this weekend, as well as details about Fur Free Friday, from GARP:

1. We will be tabling (promoting a vegetarian diet) this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at the School of the Americas (SOA) protest at Ft. Benning in Columbus GA (about 2 hrs from Atlanta).

With over 20,000 people (yes 20,000) in attendance, this is really one of the most rewarding ways I've ever experienced in making a real and positive difference for the animals. Every person you can help convince to go vegetarian saves 60-80 animals a year (not to mention helping the environment and promoting a healthier lifestyle).

Some of the people there are vegetarians/vegans already. They get the connection between the violence promoted by the SOA and the violence of a meat based diet on their plate. But you'd be surprised how many DO NOT GET IT!

But the great thing is once they hear the message, they are VERY receptive. We had great response last year. So far we only have 4 people to table. If you can make it either Saturday or Sunday, for any length of time, please let me know. I'll give you more details.

2. We will be in front of Lenox Mall, main entrance at 3393 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30326, on the Friday after thanksgiving, November 27, from 11:00am to 1:00 pm for Fur Free Friday. Recently, Tony Gonzalez, star Falcons player, did a "I'd rather go naked..." add for PETA. Let's show the city that we support Tony and show up en mass for the event.

Hey everyone! We have some new products to show you. Lookie!

Liz Lovely is covering big, salty pretzels with the same yummy dark chocolate they use on their baked goods. These are crazy addictive. All flavors of the delightfully sugar-coma-inducing Lovely O's are back in stock, too.

All flavors of Just Tomatoes, Etc. products are back in stock, including two new varieties. Just Cherries and Just Pomegranate. We have taken to topping our morning soy yogurt with a hearty helping of the pomegranate seeds. They pack a great crunch and they're good for you!

There have been some fantastic vegan cookbooks to come out this year. One that I (Leigh) have been particularly excited about is 500 Vegan Recipes by Celine Steen and Joni Marie Newman. These ladies have been wowing vegan foodies with their inspiring recipes via their food blogs for quite some time now, and we are excited that they teamed up to create this master collection of recipes! 500 Vegan Recipes is currently our Deal of the Day, and will be for more than a day because we want you to get your copy at 10% off.
