2008 Holiday Bake-Off Entry Form & Rules

Who:

All are welcome to participate! Registration is free. Even if you don't enter, stop by to sample the vegan goodies. There will be a total of three winners for the following titles:

1. Best in Show (Grand Prize)
2. Most Creative Recipe
3. Best Take on a Classic

Each winner will receive a ribbon and a variety of cool vegan-themed prizes that have yet to be determined. The Best in Show title will receive the prize of highest value. Registration is free! Participants must be registered by Friday, December 5, 2008 in order to be entered into the bake-off. All are welcome to come and have fun the day of the event. Participants may register online using our online registration form or they may fill out a paper form at Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe.

Contest Rules:

1. One entry per person.
2. Entries may be baked goods or either sweet or savory variety, but please only enter baked goods, not meals or dinners that are baked in an oven. Some examples of baked goods are: cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, biscuits, scones, breads, muffins, etc.
3. Entries must be completely vegan, ie: free of all animal products including eggs, dairy, gelatin and honey.
4. Entries made from pre-packaged mixes are not allowed.
5. Participants may use a recipe that has been adapted from a cookbook, but if this is the case, then please site the cookbook used. Please do not bake exact copies of cookbook recipes.
6. Entry must be able to sit out un-refrigerated for an hour or more without melting or spoiling.
7. No Entries will be allowed the day of the event. The deadline for registration is Friday, December 5, 2008.
8. We request that participants please label the bottom of their dish with their name.
9. Participants are to include a list of ingredients along with their dish.
10. Participants must be present during the bake-off to win.
11. Participants please arrive with your entry by 1:00 pm on December 7th, 2008.
