Handmade Porcelain Pottery By Jeanette Zeis

We are pleased to offer these beautiful ceramic bowls by Atlanta artist (and vegan!) Jeanette Zeis. As functional as they are cool, every bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe. We asked Jeanette why she decided to put a vegan spin on some of her work, and this is what she told us:

"I have been involved in ceramics for 15 years and a vegan for the better part of 10 years. So it seems only natural that two of my passions should merge. I enjoy making functional pottery that I know people will use in their everyday life. In making this "VeganWare", it is my hope that it is used both to serve yummy vegan food and to increase vegan awareness. As well as a reminder to be proud of the choice to be vegan." Jeanette turns out these fantastic bowls and many other fine creations at Cabbagetown Clay and Glass Works in Atlanta, Georgia.

Who doesn't love puddin'? This pudding is simple to prepare, and they are Cosby and dairy free. Just add your own soy, rice or almond milk, and you are well on your way to a yummy dessert. You can even spoon some into a pie crust for a quickie pie filling. Available in four flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, Coconut, and Mocha.

Yeah, it's a classic. In the Cosmo's test kitchen, we use this stuff on practically everything. Use The Goddess on salads of course, then try it on baked potatoes, in burritos, as a dip for raw veggies, in sandwiches or wraps, etc. If you're wondering what Goddess Dressing tastes like…. It just tastes like love. Creamy tahini and garlic flavored love.

We have three new hair care products from Giovanni! Frizz Be Gone is a light serum that helps tame frizzies and fly-aways on wet or dry hair. The Straight Fast! Gel works great to help you achieve super straight, shiny locks, even in high humidity. We also offer Air-Turbo Charged Mousse, which helps you hold your style without being heavy or sticky. Giovanni uses organic herbal ingredients in their formulas, and are (of course!) completely vegan and cruelty-free.

Most traditional worcestershire sauces contain anchovies, which are certainly not vegan! Lucky for us, we have The Wizard's Vegan Worcestershire Sauce to get us by.
Add a rich flavor to your gravies, salad dressings, tofu, tempeh, veggie burgers, and much more! It can be your special "secret ingredient" in many a recipe.

Harvest Direct Soy BBQ and Soy Chili Mixes

We have two new additions to our very popular Harvest Direct mixes. How else can you feed a family of four with one box of mix and two cups of hot water? You can't! Well, maybe with pasta, but that can get boring. These mixes are spiced just right, and taste really good. Try them out and see for yourself.

Comfort Food Recipes

Since the cool weather is coming, we have some easy comfort food recipes. But don't forget to eat your veggies too!

Super-Simple Southern Style Banana Puddin'

2 boxes of Dr. Oetker Organic Pudding Mixes in Vanilla
4 cups vanilla soymilk
3 ripe bananas
1 box health Valley Amaranth Graham Crackers

In a saucepan, mix both pudding mixes together according to package directions (your soymilk will be used here). Allow cooked pudding to chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
Once pudding is chilled, begin lining the bottom of a glass casserole dish with the graham crackers. Slice bananas into about ¼ inch slices, and add a single layer of banana slices over the graham cracker layer.
Pour a generous amount of pudding on top of the banana layer. Begin again with another layer of graham crackers, then banana slices. Top with pudding. Keep making your layers until your casserole dish is topped off.
Cover and chill entire dish until ready to serve. This pudding is wonderful by itself, or topped with Ricemellow Crème.

Leigh's Fancy Grilled "Cheese" Sandwiches
(Makes 2 sandwiches)

4 slices of your favorite sandwich bread (we're liking Rudy's Organic Multigrain lately)
1 packet of Road's End Cheddar Chreese
¼ cup boiling water (to mix Chreese)
1 small tomato, sliced
1 tsp Wizard's Worcestershire Sauce
a few pats of Earth Balance, or your favorite vegan margarine

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Lightly spread margarine on one side of two pieces of bread, and place the pieces margarine side down on skillet. Mix the chreese packet with boiling water. If sauce is lumpy, add a bit of soymilk or olive oil, until desired consistency is reached. Add Worcestershire sauce to chreese, and mix well. Spread chreese evenly over both pieces of bread, and top with a slice of tomato.
Spread more margarine on the two other slices of bread, and place on top of each sandwich, margarine side facing up.
At this point, take a spatula and flip the sandwiches over. A nice, golden brown side should now be facing up. Press down on the sandwiches with your spatula, to make the sandwiches a bit flatter. (we don't know why a flatter sandwich tastes better, it just does!)
Once the other side of each sandwich is browned to your liking, then plate those things and serve with a nice cold glass of soymilk.
