Vegan Yogurt Recall: Not All Vegan Foods Are What They Claim

Vegans are non-meat eaters. They don’t believe in eating meat for such reasons as environmental, health and ethic concerns. Basically, a vegan can’t take any type of meat or animal related products. However, it is clear beyond reasonable doubts that not all vegan foods are what they claim to be for example the case of Co Yo Vegan Yoghurt which was recalled after it was found to have milk.

According to vegan rules and ethics, taking animal-based products or even meat is a crime. As a result, vegans live a different lifestyle from non-vegans. It is therefore ironical when some of the vegan foods are found to have traces of animal-based products.

For instance, Vegan food type endorsed by some celebrities and Nigella Lawson recalled vegan yogurt products after having realized that they had milk in them. Co Yo, introduced by a certain policewoman during her maternity leave later introverted the 5 flavors of Co Yo, “dairy-free coconut yogurt”

In fact, government food overseer/watchdog FSA or Food Standards Agency instructed consumers to return yogurt to the shops as it posed the life of the people to danger particularly those with milk allergies not to mention that it corrupted vegan’s way of life.
